You know when you really, really want something, but know you really, really can't afford it?
Well...I can be quite good, sometimes, at making do with what I've got on hand in situations like this.
Is your interest piqued? :))
I would really, really love a mannequin! You know one of those lovely vintage/antique ones would be wonderful. But I'd settle for even a new one.
My sister used to have one for dressmaking....oh my sooooo many years ago now, and it was a green cardboard one that was assembled with little brass paper clip thingies. Would love to know what happened to that. Probably fell apart and got turfed! Sigh.....
Anything would be good, to a point, just so I have something to hang aprons etc on or from to take photos of to put on my site.
So I got this little bee in my bonnet on Saturday and decided to make a stand-in until I could afford a proper one..........someday! :))
Meet Wendy and she's wired!!
I made her from a small piece of chicken wire, shaped and painted her then gave her a flower brooch and string of pearls!!
Talk about crafty. lol.
Laugh if you will, but at least I've got a mannequin now!
You are so clever Pam, it looks wonderful. Well done!!! x
