Gail has started up the monthly challenges on Mind Wide Open blog again after a break of a couple of years, which is great news!!
This month is the second one since she started them up again and below is my entry for September. The winner gets a $20 voucher to spend in Gail's online store Shabby Cottage Studio Store.
She provides a digital image usually of her own making(clever lady!) sometimes with a prompt word.
You can do what ever you like to the image to use it, as long as it is recognisable as the original image.
You remember in my last post I mentioned a giveaway I won from Suziq's Threadworks? Well inspired by her beautiful work I decided to enter this challenge with a fabric collage. A definite challenge indeed!! :))
If you'd like to see all the entries and even cast your vote for one of them then please pop over to MWO blog. You won't be disappointed with the work and talent you'll find there!
and please don't feel I'm asking you to vote for me, as I realise that we all have differing tastes. It's always a case of "to each her own!" and it's a Challenge Blog truly worth supporting and bringing more artisans into the fold. :)
Who knows, you might even fancy entering yourself for the October challenge!

SECOND ONE......
Another challenge I entered into, which isn't for a prize but just show and tell, was Halloween in July for Cloth Doll Artistry, of which I'm a member.
We were to use a pattern by Karen Neiforth. It was of 3 different punkin's and we weren't to change the size or shape but could add what ever we wanted to them...arms legs hair etc etc. We could use 1 or all of them.
So I've used two of them and made a punkin' pinkeep! I'm sooooo loving those large pins in the head, that I made myself! A witch's hat, mini punkin' and a bat.
This one was a lot of fun to make!
Both very different in styles, but so worth doing.
Have decided I'll link this post to JaM over at Jody's. She's been having some challenges of her own, so I thought it might just fit in!
