JaM ~ Watcha got

The theme this week over at Jody's for JaM is Watcha add to one of your collections! and I know there are a LOT of us out there with collections.....many of them in many cases!!  :))

After racking my brains for any acquisitions of late, I remembered these two little vintage beauties!
The blue is a travel case with a tray and swinging mirror, that I bought through Etsy.
I have plans to renovate it and use it as a mobile workspace for my mixed media.

I'm not sure whether the other smaller one was once used for anything in particular, but I'm loving the size (approx 12" long) of it and the handle being on the lid.
Not sure what will live in it yet.  :)

These both, of course, live in my collection of suitcases and ports.

I suppose one day I should stop buying day.  :))

  1. OMG Pam that is one serious suitcase collection - puts my 4 or 5 to shame!

It's lovely that they have found a home and are so beautifully displayed.

Do you keep anything in them?

Thanks for sharing in this weeks JaM.

  2. What a stunning, covetable collection you have there Pam.

Which came first? The suitcases or the shelves? I was just wondering, because they seem to fit so perfectly.....

THANK you for the brilliant answer re the soap on my blog post.

  3. Wow, what an interesting collection, luuurve the red case.
No wonder you've got some shelving to store themin 'cos they certainly wouldn't fit under the bed, hehe....
Do you use them as storage or just collect them for fun?

    Claire :}

  4. Your new cases are lovely but I must admit the little Brown one is just gorgeous! Your wall of suitcases is looking very very nice.

  5. Wow, I remember seeing your collection some time back but it looks bigger now. What a great collection to keep all your things. Do you remember what you have in each one? I'm going to have to visit some flea markets soon. Hugs, Linda

  6. Hi Pam, thanks for dropping by. What an amazing collection! love them all, do you have them all full of other collectables ? linen, aprons, material, patterns,......... I have just a few my favorite being a little blue school case which i keep embroidery in.

  7. I love your case collection.

  8. Hi Pam, thanks for being my first visitor to my blog - absolutely lurve your cases/trunks - I have a nice stack of them set at home too - you have an outstanding collection.

Thanks so much for leaving a comment. I read every one of them, and will either respond with a return email or leave a comment here or at your blog, if you have one.
