Well now, here I am actually publishing another post!! Wonders will never cease.........Yep I'm almost sure I can hear you all thinking that very thought! :))
I thought it might help my creative juices a bit by committing to a challenge here and there, and this one for Tag Tuesday over on Blog Garden Challenge is the first of them. Thanks for hosting Rebecca!
The theme for this week is "make a tag that evokes a feeling. Your tag needs to show a long ago romance, with something that hints at sadness, or loneliness, or dreams which died. But not just that - there needs to be a hint of the excitement which was there, so add some color. The romance was once everything, now it's all in tatters - a Tattered Romance!"
The tag is just one of my jumbo baggage tags that I'd previously stained/grunged with Parisian Essence. Over that I've glued some old sheet music and then added a graphic(printed on canvas photo paper) with free sewing using the sewing machine. Under the graphic is a small gathering of cheesecloth(the real thing!) to give a truly tattered look. Thanks Linda! x
The rest is finished off with: a small piece of tattered antique lace held on with a very sweet piece of vintage bling in the shape of a bow,
some ric rac,
glass and plastic beads,
and a sweet little embroidered heart.
You can almost see the look of desperate loss on her face. Very sad, yes?
You can find some more lovely tags coming up on Rebecca's challenge blog. Go take a look.
