Free Vintage Images??

One thing I just LOVE to do is read through vintage magazines such as Australian Home Journal. As I was looking through some the other day for images of aprons for inspiration, it occurred to me that there might be other readers out there that would love them as much as I do.
I adore the old adverts......

so I've uploaded some for you to do with as you will. They are fabulous for scrapping, mixed media work or some are wonderful to just frame!
I don't think there is a problem with copyright etc as long as it for your own use, but I'd be happy to hear if anyone knows if that's incorrect.
The first image isn't from AHJ, but from another publication that I acquired from one of our local markets and it's called Martha The Australian Grocers' Household Diary and Home Companion, 1956.

This is the back cover of an AHJ, December 1957.
To my mind there's something magical about so many of these old adverts. Mmmm..... maybe I'm just showing my age?!  :))

This of course, is some images of clothes from the same journal.
If you click on the images you'll get a larger one to save to your puter.

Love it, love it all!!
ENJOY!!

  2. Fortunately I'm not old enough to recognize the ads, but I do recognize some of the products, and that's all I'll admit to...lol... apart from the fact that I love the post and new background :) Happy crafting, Jenny

  5. Absolutely brilliant images. My favourite is the one with the biscuits. It's not just the design of vintage stuff, but the colours are wonderful aren't they? Thanks for the recent comments on my blog Pam. Particularly glad you liked the link to the film of the Indian women and their embroidery.
