At my house.......

I started off the morning by doing some garden dressing!
I had decided a while back that this little area outside the front door of my studio could do with some beautifying, so this morning I began to pretty it up a bit.

This is looking straight out the door. We had put the lattice up a few weeks ago hoping it would help shield the cats, on the front steps, from the dog next door and I'm hoping to be able to grow a bit of a vine on it at some stage.

After.....it doesn't look too clear, but I've tidied up the ferns, added some pot plants, a thrown-together bench, little statue and some of those cement tiles that have fruit and flowers in relief on them.
Also not very clear are some lavender bushes and some gerbera plants, that will hopefully pick a bit now that I've put some effort into trying to improve the spot. It's quite neglected at the moment. Well it's a start, and I'm thinking I'd like to have a bit more colour too.

Another angle from the front path.
It all looks so much prettier from inside the studio now and I quite like looking out the door! Could be dangerous I suspect........the mind wandering off as I gaze out. mmmm.  :))
It's fun to make little spots around the yard or even in the house? I've had my share of helping to make little spots with a friend that I've known for over 30 years. She lives in Maclean on a beautiful property on huge acreage, and whenever I manage to find the time to visit her to stay for a while, we always make at least one little spot together. Such fun.

Then I worked on one of the items I'm making for The Chocolate Crow Trader's change over on the 15th. Another bird cage! No suprise there I suppose.
Not too definite about the second item yet though.

To have a peek at others' showing what's on at their house pop over to here.

  5. That little spot near your door looks great with the seat added. It is a great improvement already but I agree that it would also look good with some colour. I guess it will get that at different times of the year anyway. Hope you have a good week. Thanks for joining in again. Lou.
