Now to fill out the post I thought I'd show some pics of a top I altered a few weeks ago. I love the idea of recycling and giving clothing a new lease on life, so dragged this very blah looking pale green jacket out of my unused stash and breathed a lovely new life into it.....I hope I did anyhoo!
with a little white tank underneath it. Sorry, it does look quite un-ironed, probably cos it is! :)
I cut the button and button hole strips off, then shaped the neck area up a bit. Sewed some lovely vintage lace up both front edges and neck. Then another wider vintage lace strip around the waist to tie. To pretty it up a bit more I added a couple of small crocheted doileys to the front.
All a bit chic, don't you think? :)
Ciao for now. x

ReplyDeleteGlad you took the 'before' photo Pam, it's so different! It looks really good. Happy crafting, Jenny
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog! The pin cushion swap has been so much fun. I will definitely be seeking some more out. There's a Tassie crafter whose work you might like. Check out http://littleartycraftycrow.blogspot.com/ She makes amazing little 'aged' bunnies and has just started making super cute raggedy dolls.
