Mind wide open challenge for March

I'm really excited and very proud of myself at the moment!

The reason or reasons I should say, are...1, Last year I promised myself that I would enter at least one challenge (didn't matter what sort), but I let myself down badly!! It didn't happen! But here it is only March (I know, only a year late!) and I've managed to do it!!!!!! and....2, I accomplished it in only a few hours!!! I'm amazed, but incredibly elated I can tell you! Got no excuse now for not doing any others, have I? lol.

Every month, over at Mind Wide Open blog, Gail holds a challenge for anyone who wants to enter, where you have to use an image that she provides. Doesn't matter what medium you work with........sewing, collage, painting or even digital work. You just need to use the image that she provides, and sometimes a prompt word if you'd like to.
It wasn't so much an image for March but a background, and the prompt word is Spring.

This is my entry, and while it might not be the most detailed mixed media piece that I've done, I have to say that I'm quite pleased with the outcome.
Please visit Mind Wide Open and have a look at the other entries for the month. There are some very talented people entering each time, and I'm sure you'll find them enjoyable and interesting.

  5. Is this your first submission to the MWO challenges? You did such a beautiful job with the background; I really like the colors you picked to complement that pretty spring green. I am hopping around looking at everyone's entries ahead of time; I just can't wait to see them all! It's always fun to see how others interpret the image each month - I hope you'll continue to join in!
