So sunny!!

I thought I would share with you, these pics that I took on Saturday. I can see this lovely cheery sunflower from the window of the office where I sit at my computer. It has come up all on it's li'l own in a corner of my very unkempt veggie garden. It's about chest height on me and I'm about 5'2 1/2" tall. Our yard is quite large and at the moment is all green (trees, shrubs, grass and of course weeds!) When I look out over it, this sweet flower is about the only other colour I can see in this expanse of green. My eye is drawn to it immediately I look out the window. Such a bright sunny colour. It's lasted for quite some time. I just love to look out at it. Sunflowers are one of my favourites.
I'm going to scan a photo into the puter tomorrow of another one that came up wild.....oh gosh......soooo many years ago in just about the same spot, and it was more than twice my height!! I'll post it probably tomorrow night, so watch this spot. :))
Aren't you just constantly amazed at the extremities and capabilities of Mother Nature? I know I am.

I've been able to play around some more with collage/mixed media the last few days and this is what I came up with. Vintage style again. So love the look. I'm not sure if I've finished it yet or not. I may add some more things. But don't want to go over the top.

Smile and give your face a vacation!

  1. Hey Pam,

    Your vintage piece is gorgeous!!!!

You should press that flower and frame it...

it must be really tall, cause i think you are shorter than me and that...is short!
