Has it really been that long..........

since I was here last? Afraid so. You would think if I was serious about all this blogging that I would make it back here a few times a week. Or at least once...... and I really will be trying hard to do that. Things happen, you say to yourself "I'll do it tomorrow", and of course, as they say, tomorrow never comes.

I haven't not been busy. On the contrary. I've been sewing quite a lot, trying to get things made for The Chocolate Crow Trader and Cloth to Creation. I'm trying to build up enough stock that I will be able to list different things for both of them at the same time. If you get my meaning. I do seem to be making some headway! Thankfully.

I haven't gotten very far with the "stone heart project" that I mentioned in the last posting. :( I did start it but didn't like how it was going. On top of that, the colour from the background papers that I used, bled their colours into the graphics/clip art that I had glued onto them with gel medium. Need to research more into that side of it apparently!

So I have laid that aside for the time being, and have made some journal covers that I am really pleased with. I have used old and some new laces, vintage buttons and lace motifs and various stained fabrics. I found some lovely free vintage prints and printed them out onto calico and made them the focus of the covers.
This is the sort of thing that makes my heart sing! I so love the look of these. I have plans to make many more things in this style.

I have also been busy making my three items for Choccie Crow which had it's monthly changeover on the 15th of this month. I really enjoyed making all of these so much. The sweet black doll and Long Cat are things that I would not have even thought of making this time last year, but I have to say that I have been bitten hard by the "prim" bug. Lol! But I can honestly say that I can now look at these and think "Ohhh! They are so cute!"

Thanks so much for listening.
